High-Performance Duct Fans for Explosive and Lightly Corrosive Environments

RKDY Ex series round duct fans are designed for the evacuation of explosive, mildly corrosive gases and vapors from the environment. They are used in applications such as the defense industry, plating plants, medical manufacturing facilities, electrical battery storage, and petrochemicals. Impellers are made of PPs-el material in diameters ranging from 180mm to 450mm, while larger diameters are made of aluminum, stainless steel, or carbon steel. The impellers are statically and dynamically balanced according to G6.3 ISO 1940-1 standards, have an aerofoil 3D blade geometry, are quiet, high-efficiency, and have a backward-curved structure. Standard production is suitable for operation in air temperatures ranging from -15°C to +60°C. Models that operate continuously at +100°C are available. The electric motor is PTO protected, located within the airflow, and has IP65 protection. The housing is made of aluminum, stainless steel, or carbon steel coated with corrosion-resistant paint. It can be used in ATEX Zone 1 and Zone 2 conditions. Maintenance and electrical connection are performed via the ATEX On/Off switch located on the housing.
